Applications are invited from qualified and experienced candidates for appointment on a contract basis in the Federal Project Management Unit (FPMU) under the project titled “National Program for Enhancing the Command Area in Barani Areas of Pakistan.” This position falls under the Ministry of National Food Security and Research (MoNFS&R) and is extendable on a yearly basis subject to performance evaluation.

Position Details:
- Position Title: Deputy Project Coordinator (PPS-09)
- Age Limit: 35–50 years
- Number of Positions: 01
- Employment Type: Contract (initially for one year or until the project completion, whichever is earlier)
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- M.Sc. in Agricultural Engineering / Water Resources, MA Economics, MBA Finance or equivalent
- Minimum 12 years of experience in the public/private sector, specifically dealing with water and agriculture sector projects
- At least 5 years of experience managing large-scale public sector development projects
- Strong knowledge of rules, regulations, preparation, financing, procurement, and implementation of public sector development projects
- Experience in preparing PC-I and PC-II proposals for water/agriculture sectors
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Proficiency in basic IT tools and project documentation
- Leadership qualities and ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams
- Analytical approach in designing and managing specialized project implementation systems
- Ability to monitor and evaluate projects for effective and efficient resource use
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in implementing public sector development projects
Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as Deputy Project Coordinator for the federal government project “NPECA”
- Work under the overall supervision of the Ministry of National Food Security & Research
- Assist in the disposal of administrative and financial matters related to FPMU and its coordination with FSC decisions
- Support the Ministry in matching federal grants to participating agencies
- Work closely with the Provincial PMUs to monitor and implement the project effectively
- Manage compilation and reporting of project progress, including monitoring reports and FSC submissions
- Undertake any other duties assigned by the Ministry
