Job Description:
As a Member, you will be responsible for providing strong and eminent leadership in strategic planning, implementation, and management of agricultural research within your specialized discipline. This will involve coordinating policies and programs to advance agricultural productivity and sustainability. You will be expected to leverage your extensive experience to guide research initiatives, foster collaboration, and contribute to the overall strategic direction of the Ministry’s research endeavors.
Eligibility Criteria & Requirements:
For Member (Natural Resources):
- Ph.D. in a relevant field of Natural Resources and Social Sciences from a recognized international university.
- At least 22 years of proven experience in R&D organizations/recognized institutions of research/higher learning (public or private sector), including experience in managing a multi-disciplinary group of scientists and researchers.
- Possession of a first division in the academic career or a CGPA of 3.00 or more in the highest degree, with no more than one second division.
For Member (Social Sciences):
- 15 years post Ph.D teaching or research experience in HEC recognized institutions.
- Minimum of 15 research publications in HEC recognized referred journals/books.
- Possession of a first division in the academic career or a CGPA of 3.00 or more in the highest degree, with no more than one second division.
General Conditions & Requirements (Applicable to Both Positions):
- The appointment will be on a tenure basis for a period of three years, in accordance with PARC Ordinance, 1981 & Rules, 1984.
- Demonstrated leadership in strategic planning, implementation, and management of multi-disciplinary agricultural research programs is essential.
- Candidates must have demonstrated abilities to mobilize and utilize financial and human resources effectively.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are required.

- Maximum age limit is 62 years as per Management Position Scales Policy-2020.
- In case of a civil servant/government servant, selection is through a competitive process. Upon joining, they shall either resign from government service or seek early retirement, severing all ties with their parent department.
