Job Description & Responsibilities

  • Develop and Execute Strategy: Lead the creation and implementation of a comprehensive social media and digital communications strategy to enhance MDMI’s brand presence and achieve organizational goals.
  • Content Creation: Create, edit, and publish engaging digital content, including text, images, and videos, for social media channels, websites, and email newsletters.
  • Campaign Management: Plan and execute digital marketing campaigns, track performance metrics, and provide data-driven reports to optimize future initiatives.
  • Media Relations: Act as a liaison with local and national media, managing press releases, media kits, and interviews to secure positive media coverage.
  • IT Support: Provide basic IT support for MDMI events, campaigns, and internal communication needs.
  • Relationship Building: Foster and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including media professionals and community partners.

Eligibility Criteria & Requirements

  • Qualifications: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (MSc) in IT, Media and Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience in a similar role, with a strong focus on IT, social media management, and content creation.
  • Skills: Proven expertise in social media platforms, content management systems (CMS), and digital analytics. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Personal Attributes: The candidate must be a self-starter, highly organized, and possess a strong ability to work both independently and as part of a team. A genuine interest in humanitarian work is highly valued.
