Engineering Development Board (EDB), mandated to develop, modernize, upgrade and enhance the capacity of Pakistan’s engineering industrial and services sector on global modern lines, invites applications against the following project positions:

1. Advisor / Specialist / Experts

(PPS-11 / Eqv. BPS-20)
Specializations:

  • Chemical/Petrochemicals
  • Steel & Other Metals
  • Heavy Engineering Equipment
  • New Emerging Technologies

Number of Positions: 04
Maximum Age: 55 Years
Qualification & Experience:

  • At least B.Sc. / B.E. / B. Tech (16 years’ education) OR M.Sc. / M.E. / M. Tech (18 years’ education) in relevant field of Engineering.
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in relevant field of Engineering.

2. Research Assistant / Specialist / IT

(PPS-09 / Eqv. BPS-18)

Number of Positions: 01
Maximum Age: 40 Years
Qualification & Experience:

  • Minimum 16 years of education in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or related fields.
  • Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in public/private sector organizations.
  • Expertise in development and maintenance of digital platforms, websites, dashboards, data visualization, and related IT tools.
  • Proficiency in back-end and front-end development.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with skills in latest technologies including AI tools, data analytics, cybersecurity, and cloud computing.

3. Research Assistant (Technical)

(PPS-09 / Eqv. BPS-18)

Number of Positions: 01
Maximum Age: 40 Years
Qualification & Experience:

  • Minimum 16 years of education in Engineering disciplines including Electrical, Mechanical, Metallurgy, Mechatronics, or relevant.
  • Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in policy making, industrial development, technical analysis, and engineering project evaluation.

4. Research Assistant (Policy)

(PPS-09 / Eqv. BPS-18)

Number of Positions: 01
Maximum Age: 40 Years
Qualification & Experience:

  • Minimum 16 years of education in Public Policy, Economics, Development Studies, Industrial Management, or relevant fields.
  • Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in policy analysis, report writing, and research activities.

Procedure for Applying:

  1. Candidates must apply online via the National Jobs Portal at https://nip.gov.pk within 15 days of publication.
  2. Applications will be considered based on post-qualification experience.
  3. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interviews.
  4. No TA/DA will be admissible.
  5. Selection decisions will be final and cannot be challenged.
  6. Candidates working in Government / Autonomous / Semi-Autonomous bodies must apply through proper channel.
