Karakoram International University (KIU), a premier public sector university in Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan, invites applications for the appointment of senior-level positions at its main campus in Gilgit. Established under the Federal Government Order 2002, KIU operates under the chancellorship of the President of Pakistan.

Job Descriptions:

  • Treasurer: Responsible for overseeing the university’s financial planning, budgeting, and auditing in line with regulatory standards and university policies.
  • Controller of Examinations: Will manage and supervise the entire examination system of the university, ensuring fairness, transparency, and compliance with academic regulations.
  • Registrar: Acts as the chief administrative officer responsible for student affairs, academic records, and implementation of university rules and regulations.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must meet the eligibility requirements as outlined in the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and KIU regulations for BPS-20 tenured positions. Detailed criteria, including qualifications, experience, and age limits, are available on the KIU official website: https://www.kiu.edu.pk/jobs.

General Requirements:

  • A minimum of 16 years of education (Master’s degree or equivalent) from an HEC-recognized institution (additional preference for Ph.D. or related administrative qualifications).
  • At least 15 years of relevant experience in a public or private sector university or organization.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Proven experience in policy implementation, administration, and governance.

  • These are full-time, tenured (permanent) positions.
  • Competitive salary package under Basic Pay Scale (BPS-20).
