Job Description

The primary responsibility of the Cashier will be to manage all cash and billing transactions within the hospital setting. This includes handling patient payments, issuing receipts, reconciling daily cash flow, and maintaining accurate financial records. You’ll work closely with other administrative and clinical staff to ensure seamless operations. Strong numerical and analytical skills are essential for this role, as is a high degree of integrity and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will also possess excellent communication and customer-handling skills to interact professionally with patients and their families. This is a crucial position that requires a reliable and trustworthy individual who can handle confidential information with discretion.

Key Responsibilities:

Handling all patient billing and cash transactions.
Issuing accurate receipts for services rendered.
Reconciling daily cash and card payments.
Maintaining meticulous financial records.
Assisting with other administrative tasks as needed.
Providing exceptional customer service to all patients and visitors.

Requirements and Eligibility

To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Education: A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance is required. A B.Com degree is preferred.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience in handling cash and billing is mandatory. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in a hospital or healthcare setting, as this environment has unique billing procedures and customer service needs.
Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software is essential. Candidates must demonstrate strong numerical and analytical abilities, as well as excellent communication and customer-handling skills. Integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail are non-negotiable qualities for this role.
Age Limit: The maximum age for applicants is 35 years.
