About PMDC:
Pakistan Mineral Development Corporation (PMDC) is a state-owned enterprise under the administrative control of the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division), Government of Pakistan. PMDC is engaged in the exploration, mining, and marketing of various minerals.

Position: Chief Internal Auditor
Type: Open-term contract (market-based negotiable salary)

Qualifications:

  • Member of a recognized body of professional accountants; OR
  • Certified Internal Auditor / Certified Fraud Examiner / Certified Internal Control Auditor; OR
  • Master’s degree in Finance from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission.

Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of post-qualification experience, including at least 5 years in public sector companies.
  • Strong communication skills and experience working with committees and Boards.
  • Experience in the mineral industry is preferred but not mandatory.

Age Limit:

  • Maximum 50 years

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the internal audit function and report to the Audit Committee with unrestricted access to records.
  2. Evaluate accounting, financial, credit, and operational activities.
  3. Manage financial resources effectively.
  4. Review and appraise financial and operational controls.
  5. Develop internal audit programs covering all financial transactions.
  6. Prepare audit reports, observations, and recommendations.
  7. Undertake special investigations as directed by the Audit Committee or Board.
  8. Liaise with external and commercial auditors.
