About PMDC:
Pakistan Mineral Development Corporation (PMDC) is a state-owned enterprise under the administrative control of the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division), Government of Pakistan. PMDC is engaged in the exploration, mining, and marketing of various minerals.
Position: Chief Internal Auditor
Type: Open-term contract (market-based negotiable salary)
Qualifications:
- Member of a recognized body of professional accountants; OR
- Certified Internal Auditor / Certified Fraud Examiner / Certified Internal Control Auditor; OR
- Master’s degree in Finance from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission.
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of post-qualification experience, including at least 5 years in public sector companies.
- Strong communication skills and experience working with committees and Boards.
- Experience in the mineral industry is preferred but not mandatory.
Age Limit:
- Maximum 50 years

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the internal audit function and report to the Audit Committee with unrestricted access to records.
- Evaluate accounting, financial, credit, and operational activities.
- Manage financial resources effectively.
- Review and appraise financial and operational controls.
- Develop internal audit programs covering all financial transactions.
- Prepare audit reports, observations, and recommendations.
- Undertake special investigations as directed by the Audit Committee or Board.
- Liaise with external and commercial auditors.
