Overview:
Pakistan Railways is seeking a skilled and technically proficient Computer Operator to support data management and administrative functions under the major development project for railway connectivity with Afghanistan (Kohat to Kharlachi via Thall-Parachinar). This role involves data entry, system support, report generation, and general IT support under the guidance of senior project officers.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Educational Qualification:
- Intermediate or higher education with a 1-year Computer Diploma from a recognized institute.
- Experience Requirements:
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in data handling, office automation, and IT systems.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), basic hardware troubleshooting, and official correspondence.
- Preferred Skills:
- Typing speed of at least 40 wpm in English and 30 wpm in Urdu.
- Familiarity with official recordkeeping, reporting formats, and digital data organization.
- Age Limit:
- Maximum age: 30 years
- A general age relaxation of 5 years is applicable under government policy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and manage digital records of project-related documents.
- Perform data entry, editing, and compilation of field reports and surveys.
- Prepare formal letters, spreadsheets, and summaries for administrative use.
- Assist engineers and administrative staff with documentation and file management.
- Provide basic IT support within the project team, including printing, scanning, and emailing tasks.
