Job Description

The Government of Punjab invites applications from highly accomplished, qualified, and motivated professionals for the position of Vice Chancellor at Muhammad Nawaz Sharif University of Engineering & Technology, Multan. The Vice Chancellor will serve as the chief executive and academic officer of the university, responsible for fostering excellence in teaching, research, and administration. The role demands visionary leadership to elevate the university’s academic standing and institutional development.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Hold a PhD from a recognized institution.
  • Be a distinguished scholar with a minimum of 20 years of academic experience, including at least 5 years in a senior administrative role.
  • Have experience in managing academic and administrative affairs at a reputable institution.
  • Possess a strong record of research and publications in HEC-recognized journals.
  • Must not be more than 65 years of age on the closing date of application.
  • Should not have been removed from any position due to misconduct or moral turpitude.

  • Proven leadership and strategic planning capabilities.
  • Familiarity with higher education governance and policy frameworks.
  • Ability to promote innovation, academic integrity, and institutional growth.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Terms of Appointment & Salary

  • The appointment will be for a term of four years.
  • Salary and benefits will be equivalent to those of a Professor on Tenure Track System (TTS).
  • Additional benefits may be provided as per university policy.

Duration

  • Fixed term: Four (4) years
  • Renewable subject to performance and government policy
