Job Description:

The Government of Punjab, through its Higher Education Department, is seeking visionary and accomplished academic leaders for the position of Vice Chancellor in various public sector universities. The Vice Chancellor will serve as the principal executive and academic officer, responsible for fostering excellence in teaching, research, and institutional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the university’s academic and administrative functions.
  • Promote high-quality teaching, research, and publication standards.
  • Represent the university nationally and internationally.
  • Ensure effective governance and strategic planning.

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. from an HEC-recognized or UNESCO-listed institution.
  • Minimum 20 years of academic experience in teaching and research in a university or postgraduate institution.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a senior academic, research, or management position.
  • Demonstrated leadership, administrative skills, and commitment to academic excellence.
  • Age must be less than 65 years on the closing date of application.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Pakistani nationals with a strong academic background.
  • Must meet the experience and qualification requirements outlined above.
  • Candidates must not have been removed from any previous position due to misconduct or incompetence.
