Position Overview:
National Bank of Pakistan is seeking talented, dedicated, and experienced professionals for the position of Relationship Officer (OG-III / OG-II) in the Special Assets Management department based in Karachi.

Reporting To:
Wing Head – Asset Rehabilitation Wing

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational / Professional Qualification:

  • Minimum Graduation or equivalent from a local or international university/institute recognized by the HEC
  • Candidates with a Master’s degree and/or relevant professional qualifications will be preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of banking experience is required
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in relationship management, credit risk management, and/or recovery portfolio handling

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong knowledge of SME and wholesale banking
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with SBP Prudential Regulations
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
  • Effective team player
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement strategies for managing non-performing portfolios
  • Prepare proposals for out-of-court settlements, restructuring, or rehabilitation
  • Coordinate with Legal and Credit Administration Divisions for action plans
  • Analyze and monitor NPL accounts and recovery progress
  • Review transactions and client communications
  • Prepare MIS reports for portfolio progress
  • Support senior management in preparing presentations
  • Liaise with regional offices for recovery of NPLs
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal policies
  • Perform other assignments as directed by supervisors

Assessment & Interview:
Only shortlisted candidates meeting the eligibility criteria will be invited for a test and/or panel interview.

Employment Type:
Contractual basis for three years, with the possibility of renewal at the discretion of the Management. Compensation and benefits will be offered as per the Bank’s policy.
