Pakistan Railways Headquarters Office, Lahore invites applications from eligible candidates for the following contract-based positions under the Project Pay Scale (PPS) for the construction and upgradation of the track from Chaman Yard to Pak-Afghan Border. The contract is for one year with a possibility of extension based on performance.

Available Positions:

  1. Permanent Way Inspector / Gr-III (PPS-6)
    • Number of Posts: 1
    • Qualifications:
      • Three-year Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Civil Engineering from a recognized technical board/institute
      • Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience
      • Experience in Railways / Highway sector preferred
      • Candidates from the project area will be given preference
    • Age Limit: 30 years
  2. Inspector of Works / Gr-III (PPS-6)
    • Number of Posts: 1
    • Qualifications:
      • Three-year Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Civil Engineering from a recognized technical board/institute
      • Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience
      • Preference for candidates with prior experience in estimation/quantity surveying in Railways/Highway sector
      • Candidates from the project area will be given preference
    • Age Limit: 30 years
  3. Bridge Inspector (PPS-6)
    • Number of Posts: 1
    • Qualifications:
      • Three-year Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Civil Engineering from a recognized technical board/institute
      • Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience
      • Experience in Railways/Highway sector preferred
      • Candidates from the project area will be given preference
    • Age Limit: 30 years

Important Notes:

  • Posts are contract-based for one year, with potential extension based on satisfactory performance and project completion.
  • Selected candidates must serve at Chaman (Balochistan) but may be posted anywhere in Pakistan as needed.
  • Government policy provides a 5-year general age relaxation for these posts (not included in the stated age limits).
  • Salary will be as per the standard pay package issued by the Finance Division.
  • Applications must include CV/Resume, attested copies of educational and experience certificates, a recent passport-size colored photograph, a copy of CNIC, and domicile.
  • Clearly mention the name of the post applied for on the top of the application envelope.
  • Incomplete, late, or handwritten applications will not be accepted.
  • Only shortlisted candidates will be called for test/interview.
  • Government, Semi-Government, or Autonomous institution employees must apply through proper channels with NOC.
  • No TA/DA will be provided for tests/interviews.
